Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Briliza account and the personal data linked to it. You can ask us to delete it at any time, you do not need an active subscription.

How to request deletion

To delete your account, email hello@briliza.com from the email address you use to sign in to Briliza, with “Delete my account” as the subject. We use your email address to confirm the request comes from you, then permanently delete your account and its data.

If we cannot match your request to an existing account, we may ask for a few more details to confirm your identity before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile and sign-in credentials
  • Every account you added (bank, savings, investment, and cash), with their balances
  • All your transactions, with their categories, labels, and splits
  • Your plans and savings goals
  • Your investments, holdings, and their history
  • Any shared owners or relationships you created
  • Your connected banks and the permission to access them

What we keep, and for how long

We keep a limited set of records only where the law requires it, for example invoices and payment records we must retain for tax and accounting purposes. These are stored for the legally required period and then deleted. For the full breakdown, see the data-retention section of our Privacy Policy.

How long it takes

We action deletion requests within 30 days. Copies of your data in routine backups are removed on our provider’s normal backup rotation, after which no copy remains.
